Chris's 760
How nice it must be to have Roy as your uncle.

Roy built this 760 for his nephew who is 6 yrs old... Chris is a great shot and already took his first squirrel with it... He lives in Ga. This 760 has a flat top piston, custom valve, chrome rifled 177 barrel, Aluminum muzzle brake with sights.
It sports a new BSA scope.

Jim in PGH made this 2250 for his daughter
Boy! if my first 2250 looked like this, I might never have started modding guns..

She's actually had the gun since she was 9, but she kind of  lost interest in shooting. For her birthday, I decided to rebuild the basically stock gun, doing some valve and port mods. I decided to dress it up a bit. She thinks it looks cool, and wants to shoot again.

Grant Stace made these for his kids
The first one is a cork shooter he made.  The second gun is a bb launcher based on the old Bullseye & Sharpshooter BB launchers, made in the US years ago.  The third is a single shot, rubber band gun

Tim in NC's 2240
My son wanted to have a gun like dad’s “Poke a Dot” gun (my 1377), so he picked out these parts. The grips are a special youth size that Rick at http://www.airgrips.com made and the aluminum and stainless parts were all made by Art at http://www.arts-shack.com

Ben is five years old, hopefully he will remember his first gun like I remember the first given to me by my father.

Tim in NC and his wife are having a baby. Diapers, formula, rattle...bb gun?
Don't worry we know she can't use it until at least 5 years old. We just thought she should have one too since my husband, 5 year old son and I, all have a custom 2240. She'll be born tomorrow, that's why we're posting pictures today. This gun started of as collection of spare parts from the other guns we created.

The parts are:
Benjamin EB Grip Frame from Alan at http://www.abairgun.com
Grips from Rick at http://www.airgrips.com/
Bolt from Roy at http://www.mountainaircustomairguns.com/
Breech & Trigger shoe from http://www.crosman.com/
Brake, Co2 Cap, Power Adjuster and barrel shroud from Art at http://www.arts-shack.com/

Emily in NC's Pink 760.
When I saw that Crosman was selling a pink 760, I just had to get one for my daughter.
To make it more special Bruce Cox engraved her name on the stock. So she'll always remember her "First Christmas", Bruce also engraved "Dec. 25th, 2007" on it.
Don't worry, the trigger lock will stay on the gun and it'll stay in the box (or maybe high on her wall) until she's old enough to use it. I can't wait to teach her how to shoot.

Elliott in Puyallup's 760
Here is the classical/tactical stock for Brett's sons 760, and a few of Elliott working on it.

It was a little chilly today (41 degrees) out in the unheated shop. We still had fun and got things accomplished. Happy Shooting

Talynn's 2260

A few days ago someone posted a question about a good beginners rifle for a small child. Here is what I did for my 5 year old Grandaughter, Talynn. As you can see she is just a tiny little thing. What I really wanted was the 1760 but Crosman in their infinite wisdom discontinued the standard model and only offer the limited edition at 2 1/2 times the money, therefore I opted for the .22. These little guns are, for the money, amazingly accurate. Since her brother and I both shoot a lot of .22, the pellet availablity is a nonissue. Between use we have 1000s of .22 pellets.
I really like the CO2 power since she can shoot from prone without losing position and it doesn't require a great deal of strength to operate.
After seeing a red dot sight on one of her cousin's rifle she wanted one on her's also. Since it raised the line of sight so high, I made the raised cheek piece. When she grows more. I will gradually add pieces to lengthen the butt to fit. However, I suspect she will always need the raised cheek piece because if the red dot goes away she will probably want a scope.
At 15 yards she consistently runs the resettable animal targets (from the prone position).
Oh yeah, before anyone gets all over me because she has her finger on the trigger in the prone picture, she was actually shooting at the targets when I snapped this photo.
By the way, she calls this her "sniper rifle". I can hardly wait till she talks about her "sniper rifle" at school some day. YIKES!!!
