News and Announcements

February 03, 2012: After years of Joel Lively paying to keep the web site up and running, he has asked us to take it fully over.  We have submitted the request to the web hosting service.  The site may be down for a few days.  It is supposed to stay AirgunArtisans.com.  Thank you to Joel.  Thank you to everyone who has sent such nice e-mails to us.  Sorry we have been very slow on getting things on the site.  We have started our on airgun business of Smith Airgun Repair www.smithairgunrepair.com.  We are starting to get the hang of the business and hope to be able to get to updating the site again on a regular basis.

July 9th, 2009: I have just put the virtual museum back on the front page.  I removed "A trip to see Ron Sauls and Jim Giles".  Click Here to see that page.  I have had quite a few people sending in more pictures for it.  I find it really interesting to see all the different models.  I hope it also helps people when they are trying to figure out what model they found in the attic.

February 18th, 2008: I have just completed a new on-line ordering system for Alan of ABAirguns.com.  You can order your spare, replacement parts and kits directly.  Alan takes paypal, credit cards and checks.  Future enhancements to follow may include being able to go straight to paypal,  ordering used guns and requesting repair orders.  Have a look and let me know what you think.

October 6th, 2007: Airgun Artisans merchandise is now at AA Store

We have been working with Joel for a few months to able to offer Airgun Artisans merchandise for sale.  Joel told us to go ahead with it just before he asked us if we would take over AA permanently.

June 22nd, 2007:  Thank Gil Irvin for creating the cool new logo for the site.  Gil has graciously created this new logo for us in his spare time.

June 1st, 2007:   For those of us who think Gil's computer drawings are really cool.  Gil has sent us the large image and we have posted them on Gil's page.  You just need to click on the picture to get the large image then right click and click "save picture as".  We asked Gil, if he would consider selling posters.  Gil said he feels that it might be an infringement on Crosman but if anybody we like to have a poster made, he asks that you just leave his name on the picture.  You can have custom posters made by http://www.cafepress.com.

May 18th, 2007: I am so pleased to let you know that Tim and Susan Smith have graciously agreed to take over the web site in my absence. They are both active on the Crosman Forum and have thrown themselves into this hobby. Thanks guys!! When I am back to my old self I'll come rescue you.

Okay...which way to the mountains?

May 16th, 2007: I have been having talks with someone who may want to fill in for me during my absence. Nothing has been decided but maybe the site will continue to be updated after all. I'll keep you informed.

Thanks again to everyone who has written and called. The support is greatly appreciated.

May 14th, 2007: Guys...I am taking a leave of absence. From work and from the airgunning. I have found that I just don't have the heart for it right now. So at least for the near future, I will not be doing any updates. I may pick it back up at some point but until you hear from me again, I am going to let the web site stay the way it is. ~ Joel

A VERY SPECIAL THANKS

May 1, 2007: I wanted to take a moment and try to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for the love and support you gave Jane and I during her illness. It meant so much to us.

Jane's passing...although expected...affected me much more than I had thought it would, and I don't know what I would have done without the love and support of my family and friends. And I appreciate those who signed the web guest book. A special thanks to Scott Sumida, Larry Rollins and James Levach who put the word out when I could not.

Also, thanks to Ralph Brown, Steve Corcoran, Dan Nelson, Larry Rollins, Roy Weid, Klayton Kidd, Alan Schweitzer, David Enoch, Ron Sauls, Tim Smith, Tim Miller, Greg Fuller, Robert Jones, Calvin Lewis, Max Balbuena, Paul Bishop, Ernie (Eyeball) Fuentes, Steve in CT, Theodore Summers, Mike Parker, Randy Mitchell, Joben, Joe Airgunman, Art Braden, Scot Laughlin, Rick Andres, Hoyt Vandenberg, Robert Werner, Dennis Reardon and all the great guys who showed their support not only when Jane died, but during her fight with her illness. Thank all of you for the cards, emails, flowers and phone calls.

For those who do not know...Jane was my wife of 26 years. She died on April 18th after fighting first lung, then brain cancer. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She will be dearly missed.

People are always asking me how I can have such good friendships with people I have never met? I don't know the answer...but after the last couple of weeks I am more convinced than ever that airgun people are the best friends one could ever hope to have. God bless all of you. - Joel Lively

April 9, 2007: I have switched all email accounts to a new address. All Airgun Artisan email will now go to joel@airgunartisans.com. The Lively Ranch email account was getting overloaded. If you have the old address in your address book...please change it to the new email address.

April 8, 2007: The cat is out of the bag. Ron Sauls at Bryan and Associates has announced his REPEATING BREECH that he and Jim Giles have developed. Way to go guys!!

April 8, 2007: Not exactly web site news...but Steve Corcoran called me yesterday and told me he and Dan Nelson were shooting their high powered PCP airguns through my crony and Steve SHOT IT!!!! So...guess who has a new stock coming? HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 4, 2007: Added new page 12 in the Best of the Best. Also put up Tim's newest creation on page 10. Also did some general clean up. Got rid of the Crosman Museum off the front page...I just did not have the time to work on it like I wanted to. I may pick it up again some time.

April 4, 2007: Had a nice long conversation with Ron Sauls over at Bryan and Associates last night. Ron said there would be a new product released soon that all the Crosman fan's should like. We also talked about getting together at Little Rock. Maybe I will actually make it there this year.

April 4, 2007: Had another conversation with a guy who thinks I should offer Airgun Artisans T- Shirts and he wants to design them for me....Mmmm........
