Today while shooting my 2250, the bolt handle broke off. After getting the small piece dislodged I proceeded to make a new one. I wanted something strong, and found an old bike chain tool I had in a parts bin. Decided to cut off the handle and make it into a new bolt handle.
All I had as far as tools goes to do this were a cut off wheel, a drill press, and a file, with a couple other common hand tools.

I began by chucking the cut off handle in my drill press. Note here that drill presses are not designed to be used as mills or lathes. So in the following steps, I took it real easy, keeping pressure to a minimum to avoid lateral force on the bearings in the press.

From here, simply work the file to the piece to create the smaller diameter(s) needed to assure proper fit in the bolt. It is important to stop often and brush the file clean, to keep it sharp. I use a brass bristled brush in this case to not damage the file. Again, work slowly, stop every now and then to check tolerances. I used my breech to check for track clearance, and the bolt to check for a press fit on the new handle.

One it was done, I cleaned the gun really well (degreasing it and polishing some small rust spots) then lubed it up really well and re-assembled. Works like a charm, and the steel should be a bit stronger....he he. Any ????'s just mail me!
